There’s been something on my mind lately that's really been bothering me… it seems like while there is indeed a shift towards being more “health conscious” these days, there are still so many millennials who brush off health like a bad Tinder profile. #swipeleft Health is one of the (if not the) most prized possessions we can have during our lifetime. And I’m not just talking about one’s physical abilities, but rather the state of our physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual self, all co-existing in harmony. The hard truth is that…
So banking on your “fast metabolism” while entering adulthood isn’t a hall pass to taking care of your body. After all, it’s the only place you have to live! We should all give AF about our health. And it’s not about just portraying a healthy lifestyle, but actually living and breathing it - whatever that looks like for you. So, we want to ask you, “What does "healthy" mean to YOU?” For me, health means…
What are you those (intangible) things you give to yourself? Are you giving too much away to others? Being uncompromising about taking care of yourself could be a lifesaving practice that allows you to make the long-haul. So this National Women’s Health Week (May 14th - 20th), we want you to do something each day for YOU… something that betters your physical, mental, emotional, social, or spiritual self. Please share with us using #MealPlanningMethod! lindsey

Hi Friends! So I have a question for you... Do you have a diet mentality? Do you...
Our culture has become saturated with diet-focused thoughts and beliefs and this mentality has sadly become a completely "normal" way of thinking for many of us. Did you know ... that over no women have been on at least one diet by the time they go to college. This Saturday, May 6th is No Diet Day. We at The Meal Planning Method want to challenge you to begin to break the cycle of these diet-focused thoughts! Keep reading for ways to help you embrace intuitive eating and finally allow ALL foods to fit. :) Dieting is dangerous to our health. Research has shown that people who diet are more likely to gain the weight they have lost back plus more! This is often what drives people into the dieting cycle as known as "yo-yo dieting". (You lose and gain back, lose and gain back.) Dieting also deprives us of getting the nutrition our bodies need. When dieting, we look to the diet (whichever one) to tell us what to eat or not to eat. And because of this, we are ignoring the one thing that naturally knows what we should and should not eat and how much... our own body. Our bodies are amazing and are made to survive and thrive. We don't question our heart to beat or lungs to breathe or legs to move when we want, so why do we not trust our own hunger and fullness? |
