Hey friends!

With National Nutrition Month coming to an end and April just around the corner, we thought we highlight an aspect of The Meal Planning Method that helps us stick to each week.  Cue the "Master Meals" list!

What are "Master Meals"?  Master meals are those meals that you can make without referencing a recipe or measuring out each & every ingredient.  Master meals are your tried-and-true go-to's that you know and love.  (Think tacos with ground meat or spaghetti, for example.)

Why should you have "Master Meals"?

There are several reasons!  Master meals...

  • Make meal planning easier. (You heard me correctly!) Meal planning doesn’t have to be such a chore when you set yourself up for success with a Master Meals list.  How?  Having a Master Meals list...
    • Saves you time🕑, because you don't have to do extensive recipe research to find something to make for the next week.
    • Save you energy & hassle, because you don't have to think so hard about what you like to eat each week.
  • Helps prevent mealtime boredom.😒  If you’ve ever uttered the words, “I'm burnt out on _____”, you’ve got a meal planning problem.  The beauty of your “Master Meals” is that they are foods you and your family LOVE.  If not, they really shouldn’t be on your Master Meals list.
  • Can boost your kitchen confidence.  Now I know that’s sounds a bit silly, but let’s be honest with each other, when we’re unsure of something we typically just avoid it. We’re human! Unfortunately, when we avoid meal planning, life gets disastrous.  And the truth is that utilizing your kitchen and appliances and practicing your cooking skills (no matter how beginner) gets you into a routine of meal prepping and planning more often.  And we like that 😏
