It’s getting hot out there, y’all! Summer weather is here!
Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s full of sunshine, vacations, cookouts, and my birthday. :) But, due to the intense heat - it is SO important to stay hydrated during this time.
Why is proper hydration so important?
Our bodies are over 60% water! They need water to function. Here is a brief list of the functions and benefits of hydration:

Take it with you. - Here's a glimpse into my travel snack bag. My water bottle is always with me - whether I'm traveling out of town, running errands, or heading to the office. This guarantees that I drink my water throughout the day. If it's not with me then I can't drink it. And no matter where I am - there is almost always a way to refill it.
Flavor it up. - Instead of buying sodas or flavored waters, which typically have sugar or artificial sweeteners, flavor your own with fresh fruits and herbs, such as rosemary, mint or basil. This is a great place to get creative and try different combinations and ideas.

Be creative and have fun with your flavor combinations! What are some of your favorite ways to stay hydrated and flavor your water? It's important to find the ways that will help you drink more water. It could be finding the perfect water bottle, flavoring it up or using a straw (or in my case - all the above).
